Often used for instrument waste plumbing where more chemically resistant tubing is not required, soft-material tubing like Tygon® or silicone is a convenient way to drain aqueous waste or buffers.
These materials work well with barbed fittings.

Supplied here in chemically resistant polypropylene, these fittings are available in packs of 10 and come in two threaded port styles: Type C (1/8” NPT) and Type D (1/4” NPT). Wrap NPT threads 2-3 times around for a leak-resistant seal and wrench-tighten.
