A versatile,
expandable system

Many lab instruments (such as HPLC, LC-MS, FPLC, SFC, and others) rely on the use of volatile organic solvents. These chemicals can pose significant health and safety concerns for those working nearby.

Because these machines are “active” systems, continuously pumping solvents from reservoirs to the instrument and then to waste, a dynamic containment solution is essential for managing both pure reagents and waste effluent. This solution must balance controlled airflow in or out of containers with effective mitigation of both evaporation and solvent fumes.

Lab Lids offers an innovative, closed-system solution to this problem.

HOW IT WORKS

Closed Systems

Lab Lids works with your existing laboratory containers to create "closed systems" which minimize exposure to hazardous solvent fumes.

Solvent extraction caps with integrated evaporation control limit airflow into reagent bottles, preventing outgassing while solvents are pumped to the instrument.

Our collection manifolds accept multiple effluent lines to capture solvent waste. Because a sealed container would build up pressure without ventilation, Lab Lids exhaust filters capture organic solvent vapors at the instrument by directing exhaust through an activated carbon cartridge, eliminating the need for a fume hood.
